On the evening (22 May 2024) at Villa Di Geggiano, in the heart of historic Chiswick, West London, there was an event to celebrate journalist, stylist and curator, Robin Dutt's latest book - 'DANDEMONIUM - The Dandy Defined'. Elegantly and unusually attired guests, many from the world of fashion design and couture millinery gathered together for cocktails and to hear the Q&A conducted by journalist and design writer, Dominic Lutyens with the author, covering the nature of Dandyism past and present - and even looking to the future and the influence of the space age to be.

A sumptuous 3-course supper was served to tantalize every palette with accompanying excellent wines, including a warm and welcoming red variety, 'Message in a Bottle' - Tenula Il Palagio (the Tuscan estate of Sting and Trudie Styler).

The Q&A covered aspects of the Dandy from his eighteenth century roots and included references to several celebrities that Mr. Dutt has interviewed who feature prominently in the beautifully illustrated book including, Sir Hardy Amies (one time couturier to HM Queen Elizabeth II), writer and performer, Quentin Crisp, Pop Art icon, Andy Warhol, food critic and bon vivant, AA Gill and rock star, David Sylvian. Questions flew around the room, continuously from the diners and the evening came to a close with the book signing (in purple ink - to match the book's cover and slip case) and of course...a glass or two for the road!
